For nights sipping cocktails on rooftop bars after an evening of soaking in inspirational art at the local galleries. This design will never weigh you down: at an average of 7oz, it’s about the same as an average hamster…

Crossbody/ Belt Bags
Adjustable + adaptable, just like any forward-thinking sustainability hero.
Sling the Crossbody around yourself like its name suggests, or cinch the slider(s) to turn it into a belt bag.
With a zippered inner pocket for your phone + keys, the Crossbody is an easy choice for hands-free days.
Just one note: being raised in the UK, you won’t catch me calling these ‘fanny packs’; that has a very different meaning over the pond.

Reworked from thrifted curtains, these zero-waste designs are all printed using sublimation ink, and produced by hand in small batches in our Kansas City studio.

With a delicate gold-tone chain for a bit of added sparkle, all banners have a lobster clasp for easy hanging: whether it hangs out on your rearview mirror, noticeboard, or gallery wall!

THE FORM: Sling the vibes over your shoulder, and head off wherever the day takes you! Reworked from thrifted soft-white curtains, each tote features an infused ink design. Handles are finished with wooden beads for a grounded, bohemian feel.
THE SOUL: Always soft-white in color, each piece has subtle variations in fabric type and grain. I hand-press each infused ink design, so every tote has its own unique soul.

We’re tired of fast fashion, tired of feeling like helpless flotsam in a sea of textile waste. Is there a way to celebrate human creativity without denigrating the long history of design & manufacturing innovation? We think so.
We work from what has already been created. Call it a mixtape of resources, if you will. There is a wealth of existing textiles out there (enough to clothe 6 generations), so giving them a second chapter only adds to the richness of character.
Our solution? Aggressive sustainability. Relentless positivity. Incessant imagination. We dive into our textile archive to bring you one-of-one upcycled streetwear bags, all designed and hand-sewn in Kansas City.

CUSTOM REWORK REQUEST:
SATCHEL-STYLE BACKPACKORIGINAL TEXTILES:
DICKES OVERALLS + OLIVE JEANSThis custom rework began life as a pair of Dickies overalls, a pair of jeans, and a single request: a utilitarian, satchel-style backpack.
From the outset, I knew the brass hardware from the overalls would make the perfect fastenings for the satchel flap. This idea became the center of my rework design process, around which I reworked the remainder of the heavy-duty denim.
I repurposed the iconic bib pocket to become the lower portion of the backpack. This had the dual benefit of providing easily accessible outer pockets, and maintaining the mechanism for the flap structure.

Growing up in England, my mum taught me how to sew, and sparked a creative fire that has burned ever since. Perhaps more importantly, she taught me to see how items have more than one use, the importance of reusing and recycling, and a passion to reduce waste.
Here in Kansas City, my studio is the home of bespoke upcycled sustainable creations. I handcraft every product with a simple principle in mind: sustainability doesn’t have to fit a mold, and it’s even better when it sparkles.
